蔚山岩由6个花岗岩山峰组成，周长4公里。登上蔚山岩，可以看到雪岳山的胜景和东海、达摩峰、鹤沙坪水库一带。

登上蔚山岩顶峰（4公里），大约需要2个小时。经过神兴寺沿着大路走约10分钟，转到左边的路上，可以看到一座桥。过了桥右边是安养庵，再往前走25分 钟，左边是内院庵，从这里的休息处去继祖庵约需10分钟（300米）。继祖庵位于一块巨大圆石下的洞内，里面有一个人就可以推动的摇晃石。继祖庵是利用天 然岩洞建造的庵，站在摇晃石前面向继祖庵后看，可以仰望蔚山岩。从继祖庵沿着陡峭的山路爬500米，有被称作东洋最大岩石的蔚山岩，高950米，四周是绝 壁，有808级铁梯，任何人都可以轻而易举登顶。
