Chongwen District is located in the northern part of the West on the 30th Street flower market, covering a total area of 1797 square meters, main hall area of 1098 square meters, 84 years in January as a heritage conservation district-level units, Chongwen District is now the office of the Islamic Association.

Chong Ming Yongle mosque thirteen years (1415), has been 500 years of history. It is said that it was the Ming Chang Yuchun founding fathers (Hui) of the site, the latter converted to a mosque. 位于崇文区北部，西花市大街30号，占地总面积1797平方米，大殿面积1098平方米，84年1月列为区级文物保护单位，现为崇文区伊斯兰教协会的办公地点。

　　清真寺创建于明永乐十三年（1415年），至今已有五百多年历史。据说它原是明朝开国元勋常遇春（回族）的府邸，后改作清真寺。当初这座清真寺规模很大，东起南羊市口，西至浴池胡同，北临西花市，南到手帕胡同。清真寺现存建筑有礼拜大殿，坐西朝东，前敞厅四间，第四殿有天井一间，以透阳光。相传，大殿中的柁木能避鸟雀，故名“孔雀木”。因其珍贵，当初建寺时为避皇家征用，在木柁上伪装铁箍数道，现铁箍尚在，并无飞禽栖息，大殿对面有上谕碑亭一间，现已将石碑移出，改为接待来宾之所。
